Stopping the Political Fight

Back and forth between the parties. The GOP may find a way back. Right now we would be better for it. In the long run we will end up just where we are now.The economics are the issue now and the GOP is the leader on freedom in that arena. They will fall again when they don't take it far enough or when the freedom of society issues raise up.

EXPLOITING TAXPAYER RAGE NOT THE WAY BACK FOR GOP

"Tapping in to the rage of taxpayers by exploiting their fears then,
would almost certainly result in unanticipated problems for the GOP.
But beyond that, is this the way the Republicans wish to return to
power? The Rovian strategy of using wedge issues to cleave the
electorate over gay marriage, abortion, and other social issues got
Republicans elected but also sowed the seeds of their own destruction.
By the time 2008 rolled around, those wedge issues had lost their
potency and there was ample evidence of a backlash by center-right and
center-left moderates against the GOP and
their perceived intolerance. It was Obama who exploited this backlash
by promising to govern based on not what divides us but by what unites
us."(cont.)
"But if the GOP were to descend to the Democrat’s level – scaring people by screaming about “socialism” and the attendant imagery of economic doom and gloom, the party may indeed make some gains but with what kind of mandate? And would it be as effective as preparing the people for tough choices by playing to their native optimism and saying that as Americans, we are capable of anything if we pull together? Coupled with some new ideas about targeted tax cuts and real “stimulus” spending instead of the porked up monstrosity offered by the Democrats, that rage could turn to optimism and hope which would attract a helluva lot more people than scare tactics."
Optimism is one thing and it is a great thing. The parties tend to sell optimism on there strong suites not as a whole. They can't. You either have more economic less social freedom or less economic more social freedom. Both freedoms are under attack so do we run to the GOP? I am not convinced.

Is there a viable third party now? Are we stuck with a typical but more extreme fight? The consequences of a perpetual collectivist system end the debate out right. Can we have a third party that puts and end to the fight with freedom are do we have to keep the fight going to protect freedom with the GOP? I just hope the GOP doesn't screw it up so bad that they allow the collectivists to take power permanently.

A Personal Second Declaration of Independence.

It has been cold from where I type. It is a problem that I have been unable to fix myself so it persists. The cold creeps in through my fingers and nose and leaks an apathy to my mind. So I have been away. Pacing, frustrated at what I do not understand. At having been away for a short time I come to find that we now can threaten legal action for the bad taste of a cartoon. I am beginning to believe that I do understand all to well. This was once a free society. I can be held responsible for violations of others rights. Not being offended is not a right. Having bad taste is and its costs can be calculated in a free society. Those costs are calculated in a court when societies that are oppressed by the ideas of suffocating social and economic justice.

We are called cowards for wishing not to be called something we are not. Further still our leaders have enshrined in law that we are not allowed in our "free society" to judge people by the content of their character.

We are told that the pain of the restorative fires of failure are to great. That government must at unsustainable cost lessen the pain. The must spread pain over the rest of time. We must all live with the nagging pain until it consumes us. We are left small apathetic lives with no chance of restoration.

We are told that it is an unrecoverable disadvantage in a global society predominated by failing states. State that syphon too much wealth into their governments to mitigate the the drives of individuals. They do it for the fairness and equality in all, not allowing for the exceptional. We must join them so we too can gains perceived advantages ignoring the slow lose of fundamental strength of our state.

We are told guns bring only chaos. We do not entertain the though of responsible balance of power in our "free" society. Protection of all people from of the evil of the gun is the only issue. Never speak of the deterring oppression of absolute equality the gun may bring.

"We the people" have become oppressed by the people. The people have lost the responsible curiosity vital to the building of ideals started so long ago. We have let the growth of this idea to be lead by those that trade in halve truths. They spout myopic details with no context and use broad unarguable concepts of fairness and morals, moving the people behind them. We have allowed the idea to grow into failed territory. The growth speeds up as the world does. We trust our leaders more, unable to bring ourselves to do the needed work. "We the People" see not the dead branches all around us.

Long this country has lived. Born from a revolution of enlightenment and rationalism. It is now dying from a revolution in oppressive equality by the people of the people. Born from 20th century philosophy and a 60's counter culture it has grown to slowly strangle us.

I will happily and forcefully fight to remove the people's oppression. Leadership, reason, education and enlightenment of all things are the weapons. They may now be woefully inadequate to force the idea to a sustainable course. There is no need for use of the gun as the time will have come and gone before they can be use to recover.

I live in the slowly dying light not yet doomed to just burn dimly on in the absence of freedom. Many dark days are ahead. The ideals of freedom can be stoked again now. When they are not years from now the gun will have to be used when glimmering light is seen clearly once again in the distance. This is where I reside. Not yet fully fallen into the dark chaos so many others are doomed.

I am not a citizen of a once Great Britain bullied to accept surrender to the EU. I am not a citizen of a France bending to the post modern will of its neighbors and people. I am not a citizen of a Europe with government socialized societies allowing ideals of multiculturalism to over write their own. I am not a citizen of a Cuba who in ignorance supported a dictatorial collectivist take over. I am not a citizen of a Venezuela slowly voting a dictator to permanent power. I am not a citizen of a China of a people given, out of necessity, economic freedom but will not yet fight for social freedom.

I will not be a citizen of 2009 co-opting the worst of the rest America. I will be a citizen of 1861 and 1941 fight and die for preservation of this noble experiment and freedom of peoples America. I will be a citizen of 1776 full of independent self-reliant people America. I will be a citizen of 1862, 1920 and 1964 intervene only if free society absolutely can not remove oppression of an unchangeable physicality America. I will be a citizen of the Late 1800's free use of both the backs and minds to leap us forward. I will be a citizen of the yet realized New Renaissance of American ideals.

It's a first draft any way.

Responsive Goverment Or Parroting the Drooling Idiocracy

Being responsive to the people sounds really good and it can be. As of late that has taken the form of parroting every ignorant half truth that is drooled out. Congress should be listening and using the great or informing the drool. It's leadership once again. Leaders learn and teach not parrot. They should as well know there limits.

The limit in this case is the auto bail out /loan /loan guarantee /bridge loan /credit line /take your pick. I want to know who in Congress has run a multi-national company and who thinks they have any idea what the hell needs to be done to keep them going. On that note just give them a loan, make it so we are paid first if they go under and leave them ALONE! Frankly if I ran one of these companies I would tell Congress where they could stick it. One of many jobs I would be fired from in the first week.

We operate in a free market. You congress have continually messed with our industry though union support, fuel efficiency/green nonsense, general uncertainty of ever shifting rules and (not Congress) general interference of local/state laws. Get off our backs! We greatly appreciate the infrastructure, protection of the armed services, the great people that joined us after they finished their service, general civil order and all that is required fora generally stable society. Thank you. However WE will stand or fall without your help outside of that now. Get off our backs keep your money, the green money as well. Despite everything you pile on, every road block you put up and ignorant or misinformed law you pass we will succeed! We will stand of fail with our suppliers, employees, management, products and customers. Thank You very much but no thank you.

I can have my dreams can't I. I hope that some day those with a little more honor, integrity and self reliance out number those with just enough to get by. Leadership at all levels. Dreams. They are a nice brake.

Parroting the drooling idiocracy. Big busies is not evil. Big business is big.

Private jets are not breaking the companies. Should the executives of a failing company spend 10 hours driving to D.C. and back? They just pissed two days away, it is a giant waste of time. They use the jets for a reason. Efficiency.

Advertisement, also serves a purpose. Ford I think stopped advertising for a number of years and after a while lost a large amount of market share. It is the height of arrogance to think you can just make things and the people will come running especially if they don't know your there. So Citi Bank having their name on a stadium? A great and unbelievable opportunity. I Hate it. I think it cheapens the stadium. That doesn't mean it is bad for the company. How many times will your name be mentioned? How much air time will you get during the games. What about playoffs or the world series? The record books? All the other events that go on there? What would that cost the company? What of word of mouth? Not of what the company does but just the name. It is the biggest kind of political yard sign in the world.

Among CEOs not doing enough, varied laws, union crap both ways and varied other nonsense one stands out. They did not move to fuel efficiency green cars fast enough. My TV usually cries every time some one even hints at this. Not because it knows better, it is very afraid. Afraid that at least it will get yelled at and at worst suddenly disassembles with a bat, ground to little pieces under my feet, and set on fire. It has come close to its end many and survived. After Congressman Frank on Larry King said exactly that that was the whole problem it needed stiff drink and a day off. It is better, it's muted most days.

Fuel efficiency. uh? Clearly I am not against pollution control. Pol lu tion. Mercury, lead, sulfur and others. Not Freak'n CO2.

Fuel efficiency. That is the problem. Why didn't you pass a law Congress. That would fix it. So its your mistake using your logic. (I don't have a bat your fine.)

What is it gotten use. Some good yes. It has also contributes to the crappy cars of the 80's and the complicated hard and expensive cars to fix. I had a used1988 domestic with one of the early aluminum heads. Nice idea horrible in practice, they figured it out eventually only after most warped and had to be replaced. Replacing that thing was a nightmare. Why aluminum heads, fuel efficiency. Why fiberglass panels, bumpers that cost thousands to fix, computer controlled to with in an inch of its life, hundreds for maintenance every 30 thousand miles, and virtual impossibility to fix them yourself? I spent half a day replacing two belts on my current car. I am not a mechanic but half a day for two freak'n belts. Take my self reliance away I don't care. (Oh don't cry you didn't do it this time.) How much money has been lost to all this? Could the car companies made and done more if they didn't spend so much time on Congressional mandated crap. People wanted fuel efficient car in the early eighties Congress didn't need to pass a law the market took care of it.

The other TV destroying piece of info (no no your fine) is that the hybrids still cost more than the non hybrids. Up until recently few wanted them. What were they supposed to do. Make cars that were, or would have been, massively more expensive that no one wanted. They would be out of business now. Fields fill with great fuel efficient cars that cost 60, 100 thousand dollars. That would be great. I seem to remember a story 3 yrs ago about a sports car that ran on batteries. Good, but the batteries cost about a million dollars. The tech has been too expensive or just didn't exist 5 years let alone in the 80's. As far as I can see most of it still is extremely problematic and the car companies are going to be pushed in to another round of crappy cars and finally out of business.

Congress, Parroting the drooling idiocracy of America till there is no America left.

Iran, a Symbol of our Weakness?

In the news more missile tests from Iran. My gut with them is always give them an ultimatum then attack.

I know we can't. One the oil prices, Congress's fault. Two the lack of military for a full scale invasion. The fault here? Bush 41 and Clinton for the cutting of defense and the illusion of the peace dividend. More acutely the slapstick handling of the current war by the administration.

Two questions. Do the rule mean anything? Iran is part of treaties banning the building of nuclear weapons so if they want nuclear power inspections will follow. There is also a ban on the types of missiles they tested. Is the U.N. going to enforce these things?

Why are we still trading with them? Its not just meds and food. Some of it seems to be shady. We sell to foreign company and they sell to Iran.

Europe negotiated with them for three, four years. So according to the U.N. and the pansy hippie wannabes here what do we do now? Sanctions? For how long? Then what? What do we do if they attack Israel, Iraq, or Afghanistan? What if they start blackmailing us? When if ever do we stand up take the the losses? The further down this road we get do we not stand to lose more and more when we take action?

More than two, but it all really gets under my skin. What we can do.

The broad solutions.
Have A coherent PR Front, thee US at all levels looks like a bunch of winy children.
Energy independence, drill you morons! Allow oil shale and coal liquification, again you freak 'n morons! Yes yes may not be a long term solution but is there another short term one?
Get us out of debt, stop spending money, fix social security ect. Bulk up the military.
The broad solution are hard but help solve many problems.

Iran specifics.
Start with a new stricter sanctions. US companies can sell food and medicine to them only. Let them spend all their time farming just to feed themselves. The President should publicly call out all the companies that aren't following the spirit of this and prosecute those not following the letter of the law.

What we should have been all along is a radio free Europe model on steroids. Media Free Middle East. On the radio, 2-3 stations of music from Europe ans US, one talk from Us one from Europe. Over the air tv, BBC news , CNN International, A TV Land type of station, history international and a History type channel focused on modern marvel type shows and middle east recent history. Honestly cover the overthrow of the Shaw, hostages crisis and the terrorist bombings. From what i can tell there is a lot of recent history that the young just have no clue about.

Take good ides where you can find them.
